ShinyHits

Switching from TCGplayer app?

TCGplayer app ShinyHits

What TCGplayer app exports: CSV from a list, or legacy_data.csv.

Steps

  1. Collection CSVs from the TCGplayer app (Quantity, Name, Simple Name, Set, Card Number, Printing …) import directly: upload it on Switch in.
  2. If you only have legacy_data.csv (Account › Previous App Data › Download My Old Data): that file names cards by TCGplayer product id only, which we can't look up. Copy the card names into Paste a list instead.

What we know about the format

TCGplayer app — collection CSV (“Send via email”) header confirmed

Name repeats the number and rarity (“Charizard - 4/102”); Simple Name is the card's own name. Set Code is TCGplayer's own code, not the PTCG Live one, so it is not used.

TCGplayer app — legacy_data.csv (“Download My Old Data”) header confirmed

This file names each card only by its TCGplayer product id, and ShinyHits doesn't store TCGplayer ids, so its rows can't be matched to cards. Export a list from the current TCGplayer app instead, or paste the card names into Paste a list.

The 2026 app's list export can include extra columns; unknown ones are shown in the mapper and ignored unless you map them.

Every import shows you the column mapping and a preview first, so a format we got wrong costs you a click, not your collection.
