Same card, better price
Every English card with a US price, a Europe trend and an NL price, compared after converting dollars at the ECB rate ($1 = €0.8887). Only gaps of 15% or more, on prices checked in the last 4 days; the list was rebuilt 19 Oct at 05:47 UTC.
Before you buy abroad
- Postage and import. A card shipped into the EU from the US pays import VAT (21% in the Netherlands) plus a courier's handling fee, and tracked post from the US costs more than a small gap saves.
- Condition and printing. Cardmarket's trend averages every condition that sold; TCGplayer's market price leans Near Mint. A gap can simply be the difference between a played copy and a mint one, or a 1st Edition and an unlimited.
- The NL price is one listing. A real offer, but only one (how it's measured).
- Prices move. Both prices were checked in the last 4 days. Gaps wider than 2× are left out: they're nearly always two different printings, not a bargain.
